After an appearance on the compilation 'Ishumar 2, New Tuareg Guitars', this 5 track EP marks the true beginning of his career. His “big brothers” from Terakaft came to help on two tracks ('Derhan Alkher' which is released as a single, and 'Semghar'). There is also an unreleased composition of Ousmane Ag Mossa from Tamikrest ('Tamiditine Kitoqam'). If the affiliation with the famous names of the Tuareg guitar is obvious, Faris also highlights his dual culture through the last track, 'Imeslan N Essouf', which sounds like a Saharan version of Pink Floyd, based on slide and delay.
'Imeslan N Essouf' comes with a digital booklet including the translations of the songs, text by Issa Dicko and Emilio Bellu, together with a long interview with Faris in which he refers to the current situation in the Sahara (AQIM, Gaddafi etc...).
