The band Ibrahim Djo experience is the result of an encounter between French musicians and Ibrahim Djo, a Tuareg guitarist.
For five years, the band travelled between France and Mali. Those trips were full of music, sharing, work and rehearsals but also long discussions while drinking tea, about their visions of the world, their ways of life and their music.
This meeting is as musical as it is human and turned into an experience, a trade and an adventure.
Ibrahim Djo's guitar playing is inspired by Tinariwen, Ali Farka Touré and Jimi Hendrix. The other members of the band come from different musical worlds and bring their own influences. With this first album, the Ibrahim Djo experience offers a trip between different styles, from Tuareg traditional music to blues; from rock to pop and jazz.
